The Art of (Online) Communication

August 13 | 5:30pm-7:30pm

FREE – Donations Welcome – Registration Required

Is your online communication getting…feisty?

LEARN HOW TO TURN CONFLICT (ON SOCIAL MEDIA and in person) INTO CONVERSATION.

Join professional improvisors and crisis trainers Erin Roberts and Jim Robinson (Danger Boat Productions) in this engaging and yes, playful, online workshop!

In this online, participatory workshop, you will:
* practice identifying the difference between a debate and a dialogue
* reflect on the possibilities — and limitations — inherent in online communication
* practice respecting others’ viewpoints while maintaining your own
* experience how humor and/or a lighter approach can help you find ease in tense moments
* learn how an improv mindset can bolster your approach to difficult conversations, both on and offline

This workshop is for you if you:
* feel inundated by negative messages on social media
* struggle with certain friends or family members posts
* want to come up with the perfect reply to that awful comment on your thoughtful, well-reasoned Facebook post
* sometimes say more than you want to, and regret it
