Nic Zapko is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s American Sign Language interpreter. She presents effusive, expressive sign language renditions of the Governor’s press briefings. We hope you will be able to join us to learn more about Nic and her story.

Nic Zapko

Nic Zapko works as the Interpreting Education & Professional Development, Distance Learning Program Manager at Sorenson Communications. She has a passion for her work whether it’s as a mentor, actor, presenter, board member, or collaborator.  She has provided ASL language mentoring, tutoring, workshops and ASL consulting services for several organizations and theaters. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time in front of a campfire or out camping with her family.
