Jennifer Hawkins and Lori Rothstein

Jennifer is part of the Minnesota Extension -Community Vitality team. Immediately prior to joining Extension, Jennifer worked at the Carlson School of Management’s Carlson Global Institute as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the Global Business Practicum program. In that capacity, she led the creation of a speaker and video series to highlight international business issues, designed and implemented a customer relationship management system, and led the department’s strategic planning process among other key initiatives. Prior to the Carlson School, Jennifer spent over seven years as a practitioner of economic development in roles at the regional and state levels in Minnesota.

Lori Rothstein brings a host of experiences in community development – from northern Minnesota to Namibia – to Extension’s Leadership and Civic Engagement team. Before joining Extension in 2010, Lori was a training and facilitation specialist for Tetra Tech ARD in Burlington, VT. There, Lori facilitated strategic planning efforts and provided training on engaging all community members to USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development)-funded projects worldwide. Lori is a MN Extensions Center for Community Vitality Educator. Extension’s Center for Community Vitality helps communities in Minnesota make important choices. Our educators will work with your community to address questions or concerns on economics, leadership and civic engagement, and tourism.

Programming fully funded by Cook County Higher Education.
