Teresa Schmidt & Lyla Brown

Teresa Schmidt has 18 years plus working as an American Sign Language Interpreter. Currently working in the school system, Teresa has worked in a variety of settings over her career with a passion for Theatrical Interpreting, Emergency Management Interpreting and post secondary work.

Lyla Brown’s career has cycled between nonprofits in the United States and international development in the Caribbean and SE Asia over the past 20 years. She has worked across a number of sectors: arts, community development, education, health, housing, land conservation and marginalized populations. She is profoundly deaf and is fluent in ASL and has conversational ability in British Sign Language (BSL), Australian Sign Language (AusLan) and several Caribbean sign languages.
